Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 October 2026

Legend Ink respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your information when you contact us, book a consultation or tattoo appointment, visit our website or receive services from us.

1. Who We Are

Legend Ink is the trading name of Michel Moreno, operating as a sole trader.

Michel Moreno trading as Legend Ink is the data controller responsible for your personal information.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, date of birth and age-verification information; tattoo enquiries, reference images and design ideas; appointment and booking information; deposit, payment and refund records; photographs; communications with us; consent and treatment records; relevant health information required to safely provide tattoo services; and basic website or cookie information.

Health information may include allergies, medication, skin conditions or other information relevant to tattooing and healing. We only request information reasonably necessary to provide our services safely.

3. Payment Information

Payments may be made by card, bank transfer or cash, where available. We may retain records showing the amount paid, date, payment method, deposit or outstanding balance, transaction reference, refund details and receipt or invoice information.

Where card payments are processed by a third-party payment provider, Legend Ink does not normally receive or store your full card details.

Where a cash payment is refunded by bank transfer, we may temporarily collect the bank details needed to process that refund. These details will only be used for the relevant payment or refund and retained only where reasonably necessary for accounting, legal or financial record-keeping.

4. How We Use Your Information

We may use your information to respond to enquiries; arrange consultations and appointments; prepare tattoo designs; process deposits, payments and refunds; safely provide tattoo services; maintain consent and treatment records; provide aftercare; manage client relationships; comply with legal, insurance, licensing and tax requirements; deal with complaints or legal claims; and send marketing communications where permitted.

Our lawful bases may include contract, legal obligation, legitimate interests and consent. Where special-category health information is required, we will process it only where an appropriate legal basis and condition apply and may request your explicit consent.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

Information may be shared where necessary with trusted providers such as booking and payment providers, website or email services, cloud-storage providers, accountants, insurers, professional advisers or relevant authorities where required by law.

Members of our studio team assist Legend Ink with studio management, bookings and client communication and may access information necessary to perform those duties.

6. Photography

We may photograph tattoo work for treatment records or portfolio purposes. Where you can be identified and photographs or videos will be used publicly on our website, social media or advertising, we will request appropriate permission.

You can decline promotional photography without affecting your tattoo appointment.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We only keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary.

Client consent, treatment and appointment records may normally be retained for up to 7 years after the last relevant treatment where required for safety, insurance, legal or regulatory purposes.

Financial, deposit, payment and refund records will be retained for the period required for accounting, tax or legal purposes. Enquiries that do not result in a booking will normally be deleted sooner.

8. Marketing

We may occasionally contact you about Legend Ink, availability, studio updates or services where you have requested this or where the law allows us to do so. You can unsubscribe at any time.

9. Cookies

Our website may use cookies necessary for its operation and, where permitted, analytics or similar technologies. Where consent is legally required for non-essential cookies, we will ask for it.

10. Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you may have the right to access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent and object to direct marketing.

Some rights are subject to legal exceptions, including where we are required to retain treatment, financial or legal records.

To exercise your rights, contact hello@legendink.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are concerned about how your information has been handled.

11. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect client information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure. Access to sensitive client information is limited to those who reasonably need it to perform their role.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, systems or legal requirements change. The latest version will be available on our website.
